Why is the address of this Website called "By His Faith?"
The Bible tells us that God made all the people who have ever lived. But, not everyone knows God and appreciates God. All people have sinned against God, not acting in faith with him. God knows this and because he loves us, he built a bridge for man to return to him. What is the answer to man's problem with sin? God's Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus was born as a human and died on the cross so he might take our punishment for our sins on himself. To be forgiven of our sins, we must become Christians.
Scripture tells us that Christians are those who, through faith:
* Have heard about Christ as the answer to human sin. (Rom. 10:17) * Believe in him, that he is the Savior of the world. (Jno. 3:16) * Confess Jesus as the Son of God (Rom. 10:9) * Repent, changing to live as God wants people to live. (Ac. 26:20) * Are baptized into Christ, beginning a new life. (Mat. 28:18-20) * Commit the rest of their lives to pleasing God. (Rev. 2:10)
Do you have faith in Jesus Christ as the Son of God? Examine yourself.
Have you accepted what scripture teaches and obeyed the gospel of Christ? (2 Thes. 1:8; 1 Pet. 4:17)
"Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?--unless indeed you fail to meet the test!" (2 Cor. 13:5) Remember, faith is the beginning and the end of the Christian walk. (Rom. 1:17) The righteous shall live by faith.
